Hadrian’s Wall is an iconic, UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the North of England. Stretching from the Solway Firth in the west to Wallsend in the east, was built by the Roman Emperor Hadrian in AD 122 to mark the northernmost limit of the Roman Empire and to defend it from barbarian invasions.
The 84 mile trail is one of the most popular hiking trails in the UK with multiple self guided tour options available. The full route takes from 6 days offering visitors some of the most breathtaking views of the wall and the surrounding countryside.
Alternatively, for a shorter walk you could undertake one of the 4 or 5 day trips covering the most popular and well known aspects of the trail. Whichever your you choose, the trek takes you through beautiful countryside, past historic sites and offers great views of the wall and the surrounding landscape.
